Culture & Leisure

The city of Arapahoe, Nebraska offers many entertainment and recreation options.

Plug your camper into the RV park south of town (hookups and facilities available), walk the exercise trail or maybe traverse down our pristine small-town Main Street. On your route, maybe pick up a book at our local library, lounge at the Arapahoe Plunge Swimming Pool, or stop in at one of our many locally owned businesses for a treat or gift before you take in one of Hollywood's newest flicks at the Crystal Theatre.

You might even want to explore the area just outside of town: 1) perhaps fishing the nearby Republican River at the south edge of town or one of the local fishing honeypot or 2) hunting some of the preeminent pheasant and deer hunting in the Midwest. We're known for our great habitat for upland birds and white-tailed deer.

Arapahoe, Nebraska was settled in 1871, a bedrock community for Furnas County and the southwest. We thrive as a community that features a city owned theatre, pool, community center, golf course, and so much more. Our local school system has produced many fine graduates-- many of which have turned around and returned to the area to see the area they knew as a youngster continue to thrive.

The Arapahoe City wants to help promote our city entities, but also wants visitors, locals, or the curious learn just what Arapahoe is about. Check out our site to learn more, and don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions.
